At the beginning of 2021, Code 4 Defense set out to produce the best possible IWB Kydex holster. When we started the design, we asked ourselves what we wanted most in a concealed carry IWB holster. The simple answer came down to three things: comfort, concealment, and strong retention.
With these points in mind, we began the design, testing, and evaluation process that took us 8 months. The result is the new BLACKOUT series IWB holster, and we feel it is one of the most comfortable and concealable holsters on the market. In addition, we designed the BLACKOUT holster to work with all of our existing molds. This offers a wide variety of handgun and weapon light options, all while reducing the cost to our customers!

- Concealment wing with a concave face that grips the belt for better performance
- Ergonomic bump-out on the back of the holster which improves comfort while pushing the top of the holster toward the body
- Adjustable ride height and forward cant
- Injection molded belt clips or metal Monoblock clip
- Mid-height sweat guard for easy re-holstering and weapon protection
- Cut to work with micro red dot systems
- Able to accommodate suppressor height sights
- Optional block-out for suppressor barrel
*We cannot currently accommodate Gen 5 Glock 22 and Glock 23 guns*

Finally someone paid attention to what’s important in an IWB holster! If you carry appendix, you need the belt claw, pressure relieving mold (also for inward cant) on the back side, and a solid center clip. I can carry my FNX 45 Tactical, with a TLR1, and a 509T on top in normal clothes without printing. This is a huge handgun and it disappears. It’s also comfortable.
I will be ordering several more of this holster for other firearms.
Oh and it’s only $50 bucks, which is a third of the price of other kydex makers, and the metal clip option beats the crap out of the mass produced plastic wide clip most companies use.

Outstanding holster. This thang just feels right, there’s Kydex that acts like a mod wing, wedge , and Monoblock clip is high quality. It fits perfect. It slightly pushes the gun close to your body, in a way that feels comforting. Functionality (so far) is flawless and I will use in my fall/winter EDC rotation. The kydex has a pleasant feel, and good fit, smooth edges. it’s not a 120$ Gucci holster finish, but it feels like it. Will recommend
